Honda's CBX range first appeared in 1978 and was in the line-up until 1982 Its six-cylinder, 1047cc engine was the first road bike engine to use the valve system developed for the race bikes in the mid to late 60s Mounted across the frame, with six carburettors and 24 valves, it was renowned for its smoothness and linear power delivery Weighing around 550lbs and with 105bhp the CBX was capable of 130mph and could do a standing quarter mile in 12 seconds Its sheer road presence made it an instant classic The 1981 model was updated with Pro-Link rear suspension, air-adjustable front forks, dual ventilated front brake discs, and a sleek fairing and was repositioned in the market as a 'sports touring' bike This transition resulted in lower sales and consequently the 1981 bikes are now the rarest On offer from over 30 years ownership, it appears to have been well cared for Confirmed running and has a current MOT Supplied with a V5, a workshop manual, and some service and MOT history
