It's low mileage at 79k and has just passed an MoT. It had been off the road for a couple of years before I bought it last year and recently got it through an MoT test. I have known this car for 10 years and this is the second time I have owned it. Unlike last time I had it, I just don't have anywhere to keep it other than on the drive and that's not really practical for me. I also just don't have the time to give it the attention it needs. It's had a brand new alternator, battery, rear wheel bearings and a bit of welding to the passenger side floor to get it through the MoT. The car drives really well and really pulls well. Loads of paperwork including copy of the original registration document from the dealer and info on every owner from new. All sourced from the DVLA. There is also some other receipts, brochures, paperwork, service book and other bits. Also two brand new original GTI badges and and a 16v badge, all of them never used. Electric windows, electric mirrors, half leather interior in excellent condition. It's not all good news of course... the main thing is the paintwork. It's perfectly presentable but up close you can see it needs some attention. Bit of paint and a polish and I think it will come up really well. Few bits of trim missing from inside such as steering wheel cowling, sun visors, rear speakers, 2 jacking point covers are the most obvious but i'm sure there are more. Nothing that can't be sourced with a bit of time looking. Exhaust could do with a bit of adjustment. Rear back box is a bit low and I think it's knocking on the underside a bit further forward as you can hear it under your feet as you're driving. Totally secure but nothing a bit of adjustment shouldn't sort. Bit of rust coming through on the passenger rear arch (see photos) but other side is ok. Boot struts gone so boot lid doesn't stay up. Central locking is a bit unreliable. I'm sure I've missed some things but those are the main issues.
