CAV TEST - £45,000
This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, Online Auction - 11th September on Thursday the 11th of September. Background:First introduced in the 1970s as a more practical and user-friendly counterpart to the iconic Aquarama, the Riva St Tropez was designed to combine the elegance and visual appeal of Riva’s classic motorboats with the ease of use and durability of a modern fibreglass hull. Measuring 9.62m in length, the St Tropez retained all of Riva’s hallmarks – graceful lines, luxurious detailing and robust engineering – while delivering sporty handling and strong open-water performance. The Boat:This 1984 example, known as 'One More', is a later production model benefiting from a comprehensive restoration completed in 2021. Both of its original Riva Crusader Marine V8 R350 petrol engines were removed and rebuilt and the hull professionally repainted to a high cosmetic standard. Engine hours remain under 1,000 and the propulsion system features classic direct shaft-line transmission with Velvet Drive gearboxes (1:1 ratio). Throttle and gear controls are original Riva equipment, as is the instrumentation. The electrical system is 12V DC with three rechargeable batteries, isolated via two battery master switches. An In-Charge remote monitoring system provides real-time status updates for battery levels, bilge activity, temperature and security, making 'One More' as practical as she is elegant. Below deck is a compact cabin with twin V-berths and an electric toilet, offering additional storage and occasional accommodation. The bow houses an electric anchor winch, operable from the helm and the stern features twin fuel filler necks and a removable ski towing tube. A full canvas bimini is supported by four removable stainless steel poles, adding welcome shade when required.
