Built between 1962 and 1964 with around 1,800 produced A combination of the Gold Star and the 650cc A10 engine with higher compression This mostly all original, unrestored example is presented in good overall condition Originally shipped from the BSA factory to dealers Sid Moram in Windsor on 10/05/1963 Purchased in the late 1960s by Stanley Birkett, a Trinidadian, who worked as a motor mechanic and saved up the money over a period of four years The bike became a statement of independence and acceptance for the young Stanley Birkett Moving to Cardiff in the late 1960s, Stanley became part of the Cardiff biker community and visited the Isle of Man TT and other events During the 1970s, Stanley moved with work to South Africa and took the BSA with him, returning to Cardiff with the bike some years later He passed away in 2007, however the bike has remained in the same family and is now up for auction Highly original and still complete with its original GP carb and Dunlop rims History file included containing numerous receipts, old RF60 logbook dated 1972 and other related paperwork Numbers confirmed by the BSA Owners Club Unused for some time, engine turns over ok, but will need some recommissioning before road use Great opportunity to own one of the few original surviving Rocket Gold Stars UK-registered on a current V5C
